Short Bio

Mark Schubert is originally from Iowa where he studied Percussion and Composition at the University of Iowa. His principal teacher was Saul Goodman with whom he studied privately in New York and Florida. In South Florida since 1983 he has played as Principal Timpanist or Percussionist with every major Symphony, Ballet and Opera company in the area. He currently can be seen performing with the Las Olas Institute Orchestra, Key West Pops, Variety and Broadway shows, jazz gigs, the Boca Raton Philharmonia, the Miami Bach Society Chamber Orchestra or just 'sitting in' on congas on calle ocho.
